A LARGE RUSSET JADE PAPERWEIGHT

YUAN TO EARLY MING DYNASTY, 14TH TO 15TH CENTURY

LENGTH: 10.7CM

The paperweight is carved from a large flattened pebble in the form of a coiling dragon flanked by four smaller dragons with bifurcated tails, all flying amidst clouds. The yellow jade is well patinated and covered with deep russet skin.
